Every other row — the 2:3 and 3:4 uprights, the landscape sizes and the squares — is for a restored photograph, which keeps its own proportions.
What a canvas print of your portrait is like
A gallery canvas is the portrait printed on canvas and stretched around a wooden stretcher frame, with the image continuing around the sides. The wrap is a few centimetres deep — the photo guide gives the figure in millimetres and what it takes from each edge — so the piece stands off the wall and needs no frame. A framed canvas is the same stretched canvas set inside a wooden frame, with a narrow shadow gap between canvas and frame, in Black, Dark brown or Natural wood.
Sizes by orientation. Portraits are painted upright, so the sizes that apply to them are 20×25, 40×50 and 60×75 cm on gallery canvas and 20×25 and 40×50 cm framed. The table above lists every size with its price in euros; the pricing page has all three currencies. Landscape and square canvases are made for restored photographs, which keep their original proportions.
What is in the box: the stretched canvas, or the framed canvas, packed for transit. The digital file is sent to the email used at checkout rather than into the parcel, so a canvas can go straight to a recipient as a gift without a receipt inside.
In a room: the 20×25 cm print sits on a shelf or a desk, or joins a group on a gallery wall. The 40×50 cm print hangs above a side table or in a hallway. The 60×75 cm print holds a wall above a sofa or a fireplace on its own. Before printing, the file is enlarged for the chosen size so the painted brushwork holds up close.
Gelato produces the canvas at the facility nearest the delivery address, which is why shipping to 35 countries can be included in the price. That facility decides the wait as well. Production is the same 3–5 business days wherever the press is, and what differs is the journey afterwards, which is short from a European press to a European address and long to the far side of the world, so the honest figure is about two weeks in Europe and the UK, and about three weeks in the other countries we ship to. If a date matters, count back from the date rather than forward from the day you order. If the print arrives damaged, photograph it and email us and a replacement is sent free.

Gallery canvas or framed canvas?
Gallery canvas hangs on its own with the image wrapped around the sides and suits a modern room. Framed canvas adds a wooden frame in Black, Dark brown or Natural wood and suits a room where other pictures are framed. Both are stretched canvas; the frame is the only difference.
What if the print arrives damaged?
We send a replacement free: photograph it and email us. You do not need to return the damaged one. See the refund policy.
Do I get a digital copy too?

How long until it arrives?
